Final update before tour.....

Grüß Gott......

Last nights concert went very well and if you turned on the news at the right time you would have seen the Berlin group playing at the big conference treaty signing thingy. Tonight we perform Don Juan, the Rosenkavalier Suite, Ravels' Rapshodie Espagnol and The Nielson Flute Concerto (quite a sweet concert concert for the horns, as those of you in the know might realise)

After a week and a half I still never cease to be taken away by the beauty of Garmisch.... Although the mountains remain the same shape, they rarely look the same for more than a day. After 5 days of snow I am now wearing a T-shirt, even as the snow still melts on the side of the road. The sky is now so clear you feel like you could reach out and touch mountains over 10 miles away. Two days ago I was making snow angels on a balcony after a sauna.....

Tomorrow morning we leave this town, I am looking forward to reconviening with kid sis in Zurich in a few days, now I must go pick up my washing and have a nap, tonight is a big show and tomorrow will be a long day, I believe we are taking a bus through the Alps and into Italy, our destination tomorrow is another beautiful town called Bolzano. A place which already holds memories from previous trips, which reminds me that I should buy some shorts before we leave.

By the way, that little piece of German at the top is the typical Bavarian greeting, literally meaning "Hello God" or "Hello, God!" im not quite sure....

Saw them in action, and wondered who they were. Very good indeed - nice horn section! Snow angels are actually tougher than the ice-hole swim, because the snow will stay at air temp (anything down to ?-40?), whereas the water is about +4. Of course only one side of the bod is in touch with the snow, whereas once the meat and two veg retreat in full flight towards the ribcage on contact with cold water, it's very easy to give up. BUT there is nothing like sitting back in the sauna afterwards.

Our parents send best greetings for the rest of your travels. Don't seem to see any photos yet.
Is is more complicated than you thought to put them up?

I hope you have a good time with kid sister in Zurich. Wonderful that you can get together.

All the best.

wow sounds like you're having an amazing time out there i am very jealous!!!

The spiders are doing well, i even have managed to feed them and even more amazingly i had to feed them from the big box cuz the two you had left in the individual boxes had died, so that brings me to the conclusion that crickets are sociable creatures and dont like to be by themselves!

Sorry for not being in touch so much, we're having a little crisis back home, Andy's come back early and has gone a little mad, Billy and i really need to talk to u quite urgently about this, could u spare sometime to e-mail me or skype me (i've downloaded it) asap.

Hope all you are well and my love to Liz and Pee

Erm, final update before the tour??? You've been halfway round the world, seen exotic places, caught exotic diseases (????) and have nothing to say. Don't tell me you stayed in your room every night working on the perfect bottom F (Yes, the musical note at the bottom of the bass clef, and not the other sort...). Let's have an update, old chap, do be so kind. And if you think that Andy came home and went a little mad, wait til you hear from me, if I don't hear anything from you!
